Everything on ToolGrym — every calculator, article, guide, and glossary entry — is provided for general educational and informational purposes only. It is not financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice, and it should not be treated as such.
Calculators are models
Our calculators implement standard financial formulas correctly, and we test them against known values. But a formula is a simplification. Real loans include fees, escrow, insurance, and rate changes; real investments earn irregular returns, not a smooth average; real taxes depend on your filing status, state, and year. A calculator result tells you what the math says under stated assumptions — it does not predict your actual outcome.
No professional relationship
Using this site does not create an advisor–client, fiduciary, or any other professional relationship. Author credentials shown on this site describe the writers' backgrounds; they do not mean any content is personalized advice to you. Before making significant financial decisions — taking a mortgage, refinancing, choosing retirement contributions, paying off debt versus investing — consult a qualified professional who can review your complete situation, such as a fee-only fiduciary financial planner, a CPA, or an attorney.
Rates and figures date quickly
Interest rates, contribution limits, tax rules, and market conditions change constantly. Default values in our calculators are illustrative, not current market quotes. Each page shows when it was last reviewed; always confirm current figures with the institution or agency involved before acting.
